Pictures from our Rosary Procession - April 9th, 2011

Today was the Helpers of God's Precious Infants (Ottawa-Gatineau) first Pro-Life Mass and Rosary Procession.

A huge thanks to all who came out. What a blessing it was to be praying together for the end of abortion.

Here are some pictures:

Pro-Life Mass and Rosary Procession – April 9th, 2011

The Helpers of God's Precious Infants (Ottawa-Gatineau) invite you to participate in our first Pro-Life Mass and Rosary Procession on Saturday April 9th, 2011.

Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr. Daryl Kennedy, will begin at 8 am at St. Patrick's Basilica (corner of Kent and Nepean Streets). Following Mass there will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Those who can't join us in the procession are welcome to stay at the church for Eucharistic Adoration. During that time, a Rosary procession will proceed to the abortion facility at 65 Bank Street (about 6 blocks away). We will then return to the church for the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Refreshments will follow in the scavi.

This is a pro-life procession with recitation of the Holy Rosary. It is not a protest.

This Lenten sacrifice will help us grow closer to God by experiencing the mystery of His Cross. By denying ourselves comfort in the morning, we will better find out what Calvary is like. Praying for the unborn in this public way will also help us to clearly realize Christ's personal love for each one of us, and know the joy of having responded to His call.

In doing this, we also learn to pray, offer penances, abandon the results of our labours to God, and recognize that it is God's power and love which will overcome the evil of abortion and soften hearts.

International Day of the Unborn

Since there won't be an official 40 Days for Life Campaign in Ottawa this Lent, the Helpers of God's Precious Infants (Ottawa-Gatineau would like to invite you to join us in a Lenten initiative.

Come and pray with us, between 8 am and 5 pm, at the abortuary (65 Bank St., Ottawa) on Friday March 25th,2011, the Feast of the Annunciation and also the International Day for the Unborn Child. We invite each parish and church group to provide a prayerful presence for one hour (or more) during that day.

This is an opportunity for a Lenten sacrifice that will help us grow closer to God by experiencing the mystery of His Cross. By denying ourselves comfort, we will better find out what Calvary is like.
Praying for the unborn in this public way will also help us to clearly realize Christ's personal love for each one of us, and know the joy of having responded to His call.
In doing this, we also learn to pray, offer penances, abandon the results of our labors to God, and recognize that it is God's power and love which will overcome the evil of abortion and soften the hearts of those who participate
We encourage all Christians to make a special effort on March 25th to come and pray for the unborn.

Ottawa abortionist disciplined by CSPO

From the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons.
http://www.cpso.on.ca/docsearch/details.aspx?view=3&id=%2062857

It appears the abortionist working at the abortion clinic at 65 Bank St. in Ottawa, Krzysztof Janusz Fabisiak (CPSO#: 62857), has been disciplined by the CPSO for the following reasons :
"Allegations of Dr. Fabisiak's professional misconduct and incompetence have been referred to the Discipline Committee of the College. It is alleged that Dr. Fabisiak failed to maintain the standard of practice of the profession and is incompetent in his care and treatment of Patient "A", Patient "B" and 23 patients. "
The disciplinary measures imposed are practice restrictions. From the CPSO website :
"As from May 31, 2010, the following is imposed as a term, condition and limitation on the certificate of registration held by Dr. Krzystof Janusz Fabisiak in accordance with and undertaking and consent given to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario by Dr. Fabisiak:
Effective immediately, I, Dr. Krzystof Janusz Fabisiak, will practice only at the prescribed family planning clinics in Ottawa or Toronto or at a setting approved by the College, and I have voluntarily relinquished my prescribing privileges with respect to the following drugs, substances and preparations: narcotic drugs, narcotic preparations with the exception of Tylenol 2 and Tylenol 3, controlled drugs and benzodiazepines/other targeted substances under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. "

I just have one question for the CPSO: if you have reason to believe this gynecologist should not be practising in other settings, why is it OK for him to continue performing abortions?
